Performing a calibration with ADAS
- Tailor-made solution
- Technical Support
- On-site instruction
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, are increasingly being used as diagnostic software for calibration in modern vehicles. Examples of diagnostic software for calibration with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include:
- ACC — Adaptive Cruise Control — Automatically adjusts the distance to a vehicle in front by means of radar or laser detection.
- AEB — Autonomous Emergency Braking — Prevents a collision with a vehicle in front by means of an emergency braking system.
- LDWS — Lane Departure Warning System — Monitors road markings by means of a camera and gives a warning if it deviates from them.
- PDC — Park Distance Control — The environment around the car is monitored by means of ultrasonic sensors.
- TLR — Traffic Light Recognition — Traffic lights are analyzed
If the windscreen is replaced or error codes are stored in relation to the ADAS calibration, a calibration of the camera and/or radar will have to be performed by the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. This is also done when the camera is replaced or when changes are made to the chassis. DiagnosES from Winsum is happy to provide you with more information about ADAS.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: Dynamic ADAS Calibration
For a number of car brands, ADAS calibration needs to be done dynamically. This means: a procedure must be started with the Autocom software and then a trip is made. These brands require dynamic Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration:
- BMW
- Citroen (partially)
- DS
- Fiat (partially)
- Ford
- Hyundai (partially)
- Infinity
- Jeep (partially)
- Kia
- Mini
- Mitsubishi (partially)
- Peugeot (partially)
- Renault (partially)
- Volvo
The ADAS diagnostic software is included as standard with the CDP+ system. The following brands require you to perform an ADAS calibration using a frame and calibration boards:
- Alfa Romeo
- Audi
- Citroen (partially)
- Fiat (partially)
- Hyundai (partially)
- Infinity
- Jeep (partially)
- Mazda
- Mercedes
- Mitsubishi (partially)
- Nissan
- Peugeot (partially)
- Renault (partially)
- Seat
- Skoda
- Volkswagen
The frame is constructed in such a way that it can be worked with quickly: Advanced Driver Assistance Systems calibration can be performed in just ten to fifteen minutes and can be operated by one©©person. The plates are printed on two sides, so you buy one©©plate and you get two! Check out the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems leaflet for the CDP+ Cars.
